Aquabarrel has put together a few basic parts to assist with this issue. The drill bit will cut the perfect size hole for the rubber grommet. Pull the overflow hose out to the length you need - up to 90" - The overflow hose is held in place by a rubber grommet and at the ground level may need to be held down so it does not get damaged. Yes, you can install more then one overflow on a rain barrel - perhaps you want to send over flow in different directions or your barrel fills faster then a single hose will do.
